About the Artist

Jenny Eitel is a Michigan native living and working in Clarksville, Georgia. Jenny received her Bachelors in Fine Arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2012. Jenny is included in the Savannah College of Art and Design's permanent collection and is represented also by the Bohemian Gallery in Plant River District.

When she's not painting, Jenny can be found hiking and enjoying the great outdoors. It is impossible not to be influenced by the beauty of nature. She has dedicated an entire body of work to landscapes in order to create the beauty she sees around her.

The artist believes that we all have preconceived notions about what the world around us should look like and this prevents us from actually seeing and experiencing it to the extent that we're capable of. We walk around half awake visually. Jenny believes that art derails these preconceived notions and opens up our senses to their fuller potential. This is why people often experience a sort of "high" after leaving a good art show. This is the reason for creating, to help others see the world a little brighter, a little more colorful, just as it really is, even if for a brief moment.
